Breaking Ground Event at the CFMEU Vic/Tas Training & Wellness Centre

As we embark on this new project with our client CFMEU, funding partner Incolink and the consultant team, we wanted to commemorate the soil in which we will be working with a touching smoke ceremony led by Uncle Perry Wandin. His journey of ancestry was inspiring, and he gifted eucalyptus to all who attended to be placed onto the fire, symbolising spiritual renewal and strengthening.

CFMEU Victorian State Secretary - John Setka when talking about the dedicated training and wellness facility for members: "The support centre will have a rehab gym, so when a member is injured and they are on the slow recovery back to work they can come here to the gym and learn what to do and get fit to work."

Our Director, David Caputo showed appreciation for Kapitol being chosen as the construction partner for this important facility - "to be able to work on a building that addresses all those key themes—in alignment with our vision and values, we are proud to be the delivery partner."
