452 St Kilda Road - Project Completion

PROJECT COMPLETION | Prior to the Christmas break we handed over another completed project to happy clients. 452 St Kilda Road included a cladding upgrade spanning 18 levels of a boutique hotel and covering 3700m2.

As part of the project we partnered with Fairview, using their Ecoloop solution to strip out and recycle the aluminium from the original cladding, reducing environmental impacts and waste.

“With over 4 million sqm of non-compliant cladding needing replaced on buildings throughout Victoria, it was critical for Kapitol to find and implement an environmentally sustainable solution for this project to reduce the amount of building material ending up in landfill. Ecoloop proved to be a great solution”, said Chris Trimble, Senior Project Manager.

The project was completed over 7 months and on time, despite numerous challenges with weather, COVID lockdowns, and working at height over a live street environment.

A big thank you to our team at Kapitol and the contractors who worked with us to deliver this project. As you can see by the photos, the upgraded building façade is sparkling and adds a touch of glamour to the Melbourne skyline.
