Kapitol and Microsoft Co-Host Empowered Women in Trades (EWIT) Program

On Wednesday 7 June, Kapitol Group and Microsoft co-hosted a group of aspiring females tradies from our partner Empowered Women in Trades (EWIT) at one of our data centre sites for a Tools Skills Day.

The program services as a catalyst for change, providing the women with hands-on experience, mentorship, and invaluable insights from industry experts. Panelists from Nilsen Group and Axis Services Group presented a powerful example of how courage and conviction can break barriers and pave the way for a more inclusive and diverse workforce.

At a time when the industry is faced with numerous challenges, such as skill shortages and the need for innovation, it is crucial to recognise the immense value that women bring to the table. By investing in programs like the Tools Skills Day and partnering with organisations like EWIT, companies can help create an environment where everyone can thrive and contribute their unique perspectives.

Congratulations to EWIT on another successful program, a big thank you to Microsoft for welcoming the women to site, and to Nilsen and Axis for providing the women with valuable insights and inspiration.

We look forward to running more EWIT programs on our sites throughout 2023.
