Always great to welcome international university students and associate professors to one of our bustling sites (a residential tower that’s nearing completion in West Melbourne) – especially when they’ve come all the way from sweet home Alabama.
Despite a few cultural differences (i.e. ‘subbies’ versus ‘sub-contractors’) it didn’t take long for our site team to develop a great rapport with the eight students and two professors while sharing insights, anecdotes and a few laughs.
Our site and project managers were certainly impressed with the students’ knowledge of construction, and it was interesting to hear how our processes compare to those they employ in the US of A. Fair to say these students have a very bright future ahead of them!
“I’m studying building science back home and it’s been amazing seeing how cities Down Under are developing and the role companies like Kapitol Group play in that. Everyone’s been so welcoming too!"
